Belle and Boo

As much as I love that blanket on the post below, I'm getting a little sick of it being the first post I see when I look at my blog. I figure it is I about time I post something new! The weather here has been pretty lovely lately, and I am excited that Spring is here. There are buds on the trees, tulips and daffodils are blooming, the kids are playing outdoors, and Summer is just around the corner! It's been a little while since I have shared anyone else work, so I'm thinking today I will share some "Spring-y" prints from one of my favorite illustrators- Belle and Boo. Seriously, their work is adorable. Love them!

A Warm & Sunny Weekend!

It is finally so warm and sunny here! It will only last a couple of days, but I will take all of the sunshine I can get. I thought I would share a few paintings today from one of my very favorite shops on Etsy, Janet Hill Studios. These paintings are the epitome of sunshine and cheeriness to me. They make me want those long Summer days. Enjoy. I'm heading out and basking in the sunshine, while I've still got it!

Nicoletta Ceccoli

My little prince got a book from the library the other day and I was immediately smitten with all of the the illustrations in it. Today I thought I'd spotlight some of the work of the talented illustrator Nicoletta Ceccoli. Her work is so hauntingly beautiful.

Erin Westenskow Berrett

I try to share things that inspire me here on the blog, but I've noticed I haven't shown very many artists here, even though I get tons of inspiration from them. So today I thought I'd share with you the work of local artist (for me anyways) Erin Westnkow Berrett. Her still life paintings are so lovely!

Sarah Jane Studios

I was reading Bloesem Kids today just happened along Sarah Jane Studios, but I am so glad I did! I'm completely in love with her vintage inspired illustrations.  I'm especially loving the paper dolls--and thinking this may be a very good option of what we could do today. Be sure to check out her etsy shop and keep a look out on her blog for freebies!

Odosketch

If you ever find yourself aimlessly wandering the internet looking for something interesting to pass some time, you must visit Odosketch. Seriously, it can be quite entertaining. Basically, it's a website where you can use little brushes and tools to create an online sketch. I must admit though, that while the sketching is fun, it's not what I spend most of my time doing while there. The best part for me is seeing what other people sketch. Seriously there are some amazingly talented people out there. As you are browsing through sketches you can click on one and it shows you a quick video showing exactly how the sketch was created. I love seeing how different artists use the same tools to make completely different pieces. Here are a few different featured sketches I thought I'd share, there are so many incredible ones to choose from. Seriously people amaze me with what they can do!

Fabian Perez

Last night I was looking for some inspiration for Thanksgiving table settings. I planned on sharing with you my favorite finds, but I didn't find anything I completely loved. Let's face it though, my table probably won't look that spectacular anyways, even if I had found some divine inspiration. Someday it will, we're just not there yet. Who knows, if I find something worth sharing I will, but I'm not promising anything. Anyways, after giving up my search I decided it would be much more worthwhile to look at something else, and somehow that landed me at the portfolio of Fabian Perez. I know I'm pretty random, but you gotta love his paintings. They are absolutely stunning, and I had a hard time picking just a few to share. So in lieu of Thanksgiving tables, I give you the much more impressive paintings of Fabian Perez to feast your eyes on. Enjoy!
