I must admit I have a thing for stationery! There is just something about recieving a beautiful personal little note, and it makes me a little sad to think letter writing is becoming a lost art in this day and age. There is nothing quite like opening that mailbox and reading a beautiful little card or letter written just for you. I was so happy when I saw this little etsy shop neither snow featured over at design*sponge, it makes me want to pull out some fancy stationery with coordinated envelopes and gorgeous stamps and write people little notes just because. With Valentines Day around the corner I thought it was the perfect time to start thinking about sending out my own little valentines to people I love and appreciate. I hope these photos inspire you to write a beautiful little note to someone (it doesn't have to be much) for no particular reason other than to brighten their day.
If you ever find yourself aimlessly wandering the internet looking for something interesting to pass some time, you must visit Odosketch. Seriously, it can be quite entertaining. Basically, it's a website where you can use little brushes and tools to create an online sketch. I must admit though, that while the sketching is fun, it's not what I spend most of my time doing while there. The best part for me is seeing what other people sketch. Seriously there are some amazingly talented people out there. As you are browsing through sketches you can click on one and it shows you a quick video showing exactly how the sketch was created. I love seeing how different artists use the same tools to make completely different pieces. Here are a few different featured sketches I thought I'd share, there are so many incredible ones to choose from. Seriously people amaze me with what they can do!
We went to the dinosaur museum this weekend and had a blast. Our little prince is especially into dinosaurs at the moment, but I must admit that I wasn't sure it would be worth it. I'm happy to say that I was wrong, the family had a blast. I didn't take my camera, so excuse the blurry camera phone pic. I thought it was funny though, maybe we had a little too much fun! Let's just say our little princess has a flair for the dramatics.
Can I just say that it was so nice to see Chuck on again. I don't watch too much TV, but I love this show. I really am very happy it is back, I was getting worried there for awhile. Can't wait to see what they do this season. If you haven't seen it, really you should!
I love books, adore them. Actually, that's a bit of an understatement. I'm obsessed with books. They are a total addiction for me. Lately, I have been devouring books. Seriously, once I start reading it's nearly impossible to stop. There could be worse things to be addicted to right? My latest bout of book obsession could very possibly be due to The Book Seer. Don't let the look of it deceive you. Some in my household (cough, Prince sometimes not so Charming, cough cough) think the old man looks a little creepy, but I assure you he is quite a sweet and knowledgeable guy. You see, you just type in the name of the last book you've read and the author and then he finds several suggestion for similar books you might also enjoy. So if you ever find yourself in a quandary over what to read next, you really should pay the Book Seer a visit. I can't speak highly enough of him.
Bonpoint Boutique has the most amazing, creative, stylish clothes for little ones. I check the site often for a little fashion inspiration...especially when it comes to the kids. Unfortunately, I don't really have the budget for them. Sigh. Maybe someday, but until then I will keep looking and dreaming!
